Narrative Films
Below are two of my favorite narrative films from my archives. The first film is entitled The Moments After. The Moments After takes viewers on a profound journey inside the mind of Emily, a woman on her deathbed, as her brain slowly shuts down. In her final moments, vivid memories, emotions, and regrets flood her consciousness. We witness her reliving pivotal life events, love, loss, and the choices that defined her existence. The film explores the fragility of life and the profound reflections that occur in the seconds before death. As Emily’s brain fades to darkness, the audience is left with a haunting and thought-provoking glimpse into the intricacies of human existence and the fleeting nature of our most cherished moments.
The second film is entitled Always There. Always There is about a teenage girl, Anna, who has auditory and visual hallucinations. After hearing voices in her head and seeing sirens night after night, Anna freaks out and runs away. Through a beautiful montage, the audience sees Anna run away from home as she slowly breaks down.
